Are We
Speaking Turkish Yet?
Many travelers are intimidated
because they "don't speak the language." For westerners, Turkish is probably
a difficult language to learn, but many Turks are multilingual (especially
those in the markets and shops) so travel is no problem. Turkish, a Ural-Altaic
language is the official language. Arabic and Kurdish are also spoken.
You might hear French, and returning Turks might be speaking German.
