In the evening transfer to rail way station for your overnight train to Aswan. Dinner on board. (B/L/D)
Day 03: Breakfast on board the train as the train makes its way to Aswan. Arrive in Aswan and transfer to the Nile Cruise ship. Boarding and enjoy lunch on board the ship. After lunch visit the High Dam and the Temple of Philae dedicated to the goddess Isis. Also visit the ancient granite quarry where the famous pink granite comes from that you see in so many Egyptian monuments, and see the Unfinished Obelisk. This obelisk was only partially cut from the surrounding stone when it developed a crack, making it useless for its intended purpose. It gives us insight into how these large single pieces of stone were cut from the surrounding rock. Return to the ship for dinner and overnight on board. (B/L/D)
Day 04: The ship will sail to Kom Ombo in the morning while you enjoy breakfast on board. Once at Kom Ombo, visit the temple there. The Temple of Kom Ombo is shared by the two Gods Sobek and Haroeris. Sobek is depicted as a crocodile and you will find his image everywhere, as well as other signs of worship to this god. Return to the ship and sail on to Edfu to visit the temple there. The large well preserved temple complex was built between 237 BCE to 57 BCE, into the reign of Cleopatra VII. Built from sandstone blocks, the huge Ptolemaic temple was constructed over the site of a smaller New Kingdom temple, oriented east to west, facing towards the river. After your visit return to the ship. Enjoy afternoon tea and dinner on board while sailing to Esna, and on to Luxor for overnight. (B/L/D)
Day 05: After breakfast begin your sightseeing with a visit to the West Bank. In the Valley of the Kings you will visit several tombs that have been preserved. The tombs of Tut Ankh-Amon, Ramses III, Seti I, Ramses VI, Amenhotep II, and more are located here. See the differing types of construction of the burial chambers located in this cut in the mountains. Afterwards visit Queen Hatshepsut's Temple at El-Deir El-Bahari. At Queen Hatshepsut's Temple, you will see the reconstructed temple of this fascinating ruler of Egypt. Her story is full of political intrigue and rivalry, a power struggle, murder, and more! Head back to the ship, stopping to see the Colossi of Memnon at the ruins of the tomb of Amenhotep III. Return to the ship for lunch. Afternoon tea and dinner on board and overnight moored in Luxor. (B/L/D)

After exploring this magnificent site, go to the smaller but just is beautiful Temple of Luxor with its elegant colonnaded hall and sculpture of King Tut and his wife. In the evening attend the Sound and Light Show at Karnak Temple. Afterwards, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo you will be transferred to the hotel to check in.
