Iran: Kerman to Tabriz

We are pleased to offer another new tour to Iran this September that will include the highlights of Tehran, Shiraz, Isfahan, and Yazd, and also visit Kerman and the mud-brick fortress of Rayen. We will also explore the north and Caspian Sea area from Tabriz in the mountains to Anzali on the coast (also the caviar capital of Iran!). This tour is unique and will be an exxcellent opportunity to see the diversity within Iran - the desert, cosmopolitan cities, ancient palaces, mountains, lush green forests, and the Caspian Sea. Experience the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with Caravan-Serai Tours! The Kingdom is a little known and little-visited country that we are constantly hearing about in the news. You will be surprised at what it has to offer visitors - a deep and rich history and cultural traditions, a varied landscape that incudes not only vast deserts but also high mountains, sea shores, agricultural plains and more. The tour begins is the capital city of Riyadh, a gleaming modern city with a stunning skyline. Visit the old city within the new to experience the contast, then we head to the western part of the coutry where we will go from the south in the mountainous region of Asir to the north and the Nabatean ruins at Al Ula. Join us for this small group, intimate tour of Turkey. Caravan-Serai's tours are always much more personal, getting you even closer to the people and cultures we are visiting. With only 15 people you will be able to have more contact with our guide and hear them better and ask more questions. And we make sure we use comfortable, air conditioned buses, with room for everyone to spread out and relax in between stops.

We are mostly staying in smaller boutique hotels, often found in the center of the historical districts, and located in older buildings that have been renovated. Our lunches and dinners will be at local restaurants - where the locals dine, not tourist-oriented venues.
