Nov. 25:
Upon your arrival at Cairo International Airport. You will be met and assisted by our representative, and taken to your hotel for dinner and overnight. (D)

 Nov. 26:
Breakfast will be followed by a visit to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities.
The Museum houses the world's greatest collection of Ancient Egyptian artifacts, including 12 rooms filled with golden treasures from the world-famous tomb of the boy-king Tutankhamen.  Lunch will be served at a traditional restaurant. After lunch you will continue with a visit to the most famous of the Egyptian sphinxes, the Great Sphinx of Giza, followed by the Great Pyramid of Khufu (Cheops). Completed around 2600 BC, this pyramid was 146m (478ft) high and consisted of over 2 million limestone blocks weighing over 2 tons each. Return to your hotel for overnight. (B/L)

 Nov. 27:
After breakfast our representative will take you to the airport for your flight to Abu Simbel. You will be transferred to the Abu Simbel site on the shores of Lake Nasser.  The temple, which you don’t see until you walk around a large mound towards the shore, is famous for the giant statues of Ramses at the entrance as well as for the fact it originally was located much further down the slope under the current waterline.  When the High Dam was being constructed the temple was going to be in the flood zone once the dam was complete.  The temple was removed and reconstructed further up the bank, where it is now.  Once you see the actual temple you will be amazed at this feat.  After your visit you will be transferred back to the airport for your flight to Aswan, where you will be met and transferred to your Nile Cruise. Check in the have lunch aboard a felucca as it cruises around the island. Enjoy afternoon tea aboard the cruise ship and relax until dinner. Dinner and overnight in Aswan. (B/L/D)

 Nov. 28:
Enjoy breakfast, then see some of the sites in Aswan.  Your tour will include the Philae Temple, The High Dam, and unfinished Obelisk at the granite quarry famous for its pink granite that you will see in many places on your tour of Egypt. Enjoy lunch and then sail on to Kom Ombo where we will have a visit to the Temple of Kom Ombo, shared by the two Gods Sobek and Haroeris. Sobek is depicted as a crocodile and you will find his image everywhere, as well as other signs of worship to this god.  Reboard and continue on to Edfu, where you will have afternoon tea and dinner. Overnight in Edfu. (B/L/D)

 Nov 29:
This morning we will visit the Temple of Edfu, belonging to the god Horus.  A large statue of a falcon is located at the entrance to the inner temple.  Return to the ship to sail on to Esna for lunch and a visit of Esna Temple and afternoon tea. Sail on to Luxor for dinner and overnight. (B/L/D)

 Nov. 30:
After breakfast we will depart for the West Bank of the Nile to the Valley of the Kings, and Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple.  In the Valley of the Kings we will visit several tombs that have been preserved.  See the differing types of construction of the burial chambers located in this cut in the mountains.  You will also visit the Valley of the Queens and see where the queens and their children where buried.  At Queen Hatshepsut’s Temple, you will see the reconstructed temple of this fascinating ruler of Egypt.  Her story is full of political intrigue and rivalry, a power struggle, murder, and more!  Return to the cruise ship for lunch and relaxation. Explore some of the shops along the riverfront before afternoon tea. On your own, you may wish to visit the Luxor Museum.  Dinner and overnight in Luxor. (B/L/D)

 Dec 1:
Enjoy breakfast before disembarkation. Visit the East Bank's Karnak and Luxor Temples. Karnak, the largest religious complex in the world, has been added to by many of Egypt’s rulers, each one trying to leave his mark on the complex, and in some cases, trying to remove or conceal any sign of a predecessor.  Walk through the towering colonnades and visit the sacred lake, and learn how Karnak was connected to the Temple of Luxor.  Continue to the Temple of Luxor, a smaller, yet still very impressive temple complex.  Afterwards, transfer to the Luxor Airport, assisted by one of our representatives, and fly to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free for relaxation or shopping. Dinner and overnight in Cairo. (B/D)

Dec 2:
After breakfast you will transfer to the Cairo International Airport for your flight to Tel Aviv, where you will be met and taken to your hotel.  Overnight in Tel Aviv.

 Dec 3:
After breakfast, enjoy a city tour of Tel Aviv, visiting the Erets Israel Museum of folklore, and the Oppenheimer Diamond Center. See Rabin Square and the memorial dedicated to the former Prime Minister Itzhak Rabin, marking the place where he was assassinated in November 1995. Continue along Rothchild Blvd. passing the Habimah Theater, to Old Jaffa. Tour the Galleries Quarter, the Flea Market and Visitor's Center. View the famous Jaffa Harbor. Return to your hotel, the evening is at your leisure. Overnight in Tel Aviv.

 Dec 4:
After breakfast, check out of your hotel in Tel Aviv and travel to Jerusalem. On the way, pass through Latrun and Shaar Hagai, for a panoramic view of the city. Drive via Gethsemane to the gate to the Old City and walk to the "Cardo" in the recently restored Jewish Quarter. Visit the Western Wall, Via Dolorosa (Stations of the Cross) and Church of the Holy Sepulcher. After lunch (not included) the tour continues with a visit to Yad Vashem (Israel's memorial to the Holocaust). Drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, stopping at Rachel's Tomb along the way. Overnight in Jerusalem.

 Dec 5:
Free Day! Enjoy a buffet breakfast then set out to explore the city on your own. Overnight in Jerusalem.
 

Dec 6:
After breakfast drive via Ma'aleh Adumim and the Inn of the Good Samaritan in the Judean Desert, to visit Massada. Enjoy the Ein Gedi Spa and a dip in the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth (1200 ft below sea level). Back to the hotel for overnight. Note: Comfortable shoes and head covering are recommended. Bring along a swimsuit and towel. Ascent/descent of Massada will be by cable car, however. There are 80 steps from the upper cable car platform to the summit. Overnight in Jerusalem.

 Dec 7:
After breakfast visit the Kennedy Memorial, enjoy a superb panorama of the Judean Hills, and then continue on to see the famous Chagall Windows at the Hadassah Hospital. Afterwards you will visit the village of Ein Kerem, the birthplace of John the Baptist. Visit Mount Herzel where the tombs of the Zionist leaders are laid out amongst beautiful gardens (including Itzhak Rabin's tomb). After lunch (not included) visit the Israel museum with the Shrine of the Book, housing the fascinating Dead Sea Scrolls and stroll through the Billy Rose Art Garden. End the day with a visit the comprehensive display of Jerusalem's history at the Tower of David. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Dec 8:
Enjoy a buffet breakfast then drive to Nazareth for a visit to the Church of the Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph. Continue to the Sea of Galilee via Canna and visit the ruins at Capernaum. Then stop at Tabgha and visit the Church to the Multiplication of the Loaves and the Fish. On to Tiberias for a boat ride and then to the Baptismal site on the Jordan River outlet "Yardenit". Back to the hotel for overnight. Note: Tours of holy sites require modest dress (covered shoulders). Comfortable are shoes recommended.  Overnight Sea of Galilee.

 Dec 9:
After your buffet breakfast, drive to Rosh Hanikra to visit the Grottos . Drive south along the coast of the Mediterranean to Acre to visit the Crusader underground city and the Crypt. Walk through the old city to see the Oriental Market, the Arab Mosque and the Old Port.  Continue on through Haifa to enjoy a panoramic view of Haifa Bay and the Bahai Shrine & Gardens. The last visit will be to Caesarea, visit the Roman and Crusader ruins. Continue to Tel-Aviv. Overnight in Tel Aviv.

 Dec 10:
Enjoy a buffet breakfast before transferring to Ben Gurion Airport for your trip back to Cairo where you will be met and assisted and transferred to your hotel for overnight.

 Dec 11:
After breakfast transfer to the Cairo International Airport for your departure.
