Egypt Israel Adventure

Day 1 - Arrive at Cairo International Airport. You will be met and assisted by our representative, and taken to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 2 - After breakfast our representative will take you to the airport for your flight to Abu Simbel. Once there you will visit the Temple, then fly on to Aswan, where you will be met and transferred to your Nile Cruise. Check in and have lunch aboard the Panoramic Felucca as it cruises around the island. Enjoy an afternoon tea. Dinner and overnight in Aswan.

Day 3 - Enjoy breakfast, then a visit in Aswan: Philae Temple, The High Dam, and unfinished Obelisk. Enjoy lunch and then sail on to Kom Ombo where you will visit Kom Ombo Temple. Reboard and continue on to Edfu, where you will have afternoon tea and dinner. Overnight in Edfu.

Day 4 - After breakfast, you will visit Edfu Temple. Sail on to Esna for lunch and a visit of Esna Temple and afternoon tea. Sail on to Luxor for dinner and overnight.

Day 5 - Breakfast is followed by a visit to the Nile's West Bank, Valley of the Kings, Valley of the Queen, and Hatshepsut's Temple. Lunch. Afternoon tea. Dinner and overnight in Luxor.

Day 6 - Enjoy breakfast before disembarkation. Visit the East Bank's Karnak and Luxor Temples. You will then transfer to the Luxor Airport, assisted by one of our representatives, and fly to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free for relaxation or shopping. Dinner and overnight in Cairo.

Day 7 - Breakfast will be followed by a full day visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities where you will see the fabulous collection of King Tut Ankh Amun. Lunch will be served at a traditional restaurant. After lunch you will continue on to visit one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World: the great Pyramids and Sphinx on the Giza Plateau. In the evening return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 8 - After breakfast you will transfer to the Cairo International Airport for your flight to Tel Aviv, where you will be met and taken to your hotel. Overnight in Tel Aviv.

Day 9 - After breakfast, take part in a half-day tour of Tel Aviv, visiting the Erets Israel Museum of folklore, and the Oppenheimer Diamond Center. See Rabin Square and the memorial dedicated to the former Prime Minister Itzhak Rabin, marking the place where he was assassinated in November 1995. Continue along Rothchild Blvd. passing the Habimah Theater, to Old Jaffa. Tour the Galleries Quarter and Visitor's Center. View the famous Jaffa Harbour. Return to your hotel, the evening is at your leisure. Overnight in Tel Aviv.

Day 10 - After breakfast, check out of your hotel in Tel Aviv and travel to Jerusalem. On the way, pass through Latrun and Shaar Hagai, for a panoramic view of the city. Drive via Gethsemane to the gate to the Old City and walk to the "Cardo" in the recently restored Jewish Quarter. Visit the Western Wall, Via Dolorosa (Stations of the Cross) and Church of the Holy Sepulcher. After lunch (not included) the tour continues with a visit to Yad Vashem (Israel's memorial to the Holocaust). Drive to Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity, stopping at Rachel's Tomb along the way. Return to your hotel for ove rnight.

Day 11 - Free Day! Enjoy a buffet breakfast then set out to explore the city on your own. Overnight

Day 12 - After breakfast drive via Ma'aleh Adumim and the Inn of the Good Samaritan in the Judean Desert, to visit Massada. Enjoy the Ein Gedi Spa and a dip in the Dead Sea, the lowest place on earth (1200 ft below sea level). Back to the hotel for overnight. Note: Comfortable shoes and head covering are recommended. Bring along a swimsuit and towel. Ascent/descent of Massada will be by cablecar, however. There are 80 steps from the upper cablecar platform to the summit.

Day 13 - Enjoy a buffet breakfast then drive to Nazareth for a visit to the Church of the Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph. Continue to the Sea of Galilee via Canna and visit the ruins at Capernaum. Then stop at Tabgha and visit the Church to the Multiplication of the Loaves and the Fish. On to Tiberias for a boat ride and then to the Baptismal site on the Jordan River outlet "Yardenit". Back to the hotel for overnight. Note: Tours of holy sites require modest dress (covered shoulders). Comfortable are shoes recommended.

Day 14 - After your buffet breakfast, drive via the coastal highway to Caesarea to visit the Roman and Crusader ruins. Continue on through Haifa to enjoy a panoramic view of Haifa Bay. Continue via Nahariya to Rosh Hanikra to visit the Grottos. Return along the coast of the Mediterranean to Acre to visit the Crusader underground city and the Crypt. Walk through the old city to see the Oriental Market, the Arab Mosque and the Old Port. Return to Jerusalem for overnight.

Day 15 - After breakfast visit the Kennedy Memorial, enjoy a superb panorama of the Judean Hills, and then continue to the famous Chagall Windows at the Hadassah Hospital. Continue on to the village of Ein Kerem to visit the birthplace of John the Baptist. Visit Mount Herzel where the tombs of the Zionist leaders are laid out amongst beautiful gardens (including Itzhak Rabin's tomb). After lunch (not included) visit the Israel museum to the Shrine of the Book, containing the fascinating Dead Sea Scrolls and stroll through the Billy Rose Art Garden. Visit the comprehensive display of Jerusalem's history at the Tower of David. Return to your hotel for overnight.

Day 16 - Enjoy a buffet breakfast before transferring to Ben Gurion Airport for your trip home.
