Oman - Dubai - Abu Dhabi

DAY 1 - Depart from London winging over the Mediterranean Sea and Arabian Peninsula to arrive in Muscat, Oman. Be met, assisted and transferred to the Mecure Al Falaj hotel for overnight in Muscat.

DAY 2 - In the morning, enjoy a city tour of this modern capital by the Arabian Gulf. Passing by the Al Alam Palace with the twin forts of Jalali built in 1558AD, we come to the Muttrah Souq, probably the oldest in Oman. After a wander through the souq, we lunch at a local restaurant. In the evening local Henna artist will talk and demonstrate about the importance of Henna at wedding ceremonies, etc. Dhow cruise in the evening to view the magnificent shoreline. Overnight in Muscat.

DAY 3 - Full day excursion to the oasis of Nizwa, early capital of Oman, and to Bahla said to have been built by a woman named Gheitha about 600 years ago. It is on the UNESCO World Heritage list. Enjoy studying and photographing Jabrin fort with its extraordinary carved wooden paneling, friezes, and stone carved versed from the Koran and Arabic poems, and then to the old village of Tanuf. Return to Muscat for overnight.

DAY 4 - Head to the desert for a full day excursion to the famous dunes at Wahiba Sands described as a perfect example of Sand Sea consisting of large ranges of dunes running from North to South some attaining a height of about 100 M and orange in color. Stop at the Wadi Bani Khalid. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the dunes. Return to Muscat for overnight.

DAY 5 - Early morning visit to the cultural museum, followed by late morning flight to Salalah, in the western desert of Oman. Be met, assisted and transferred to the Holiday Inn hotel. Thrill to an evening panoramic tour of this town with a stop at the gold souq. Overnight in Salalah.

DAY 6 - Depart for a full day visit of East & West Salalah visiting Sumhurm, Taqa, Mirbat, Job's Tomb, Ain Arzat, Mughsail Beach. Lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer to the airport for 615PM flight to Muscat. Be met, assisted and transferred to the Gulf Hotel for overnight in Muscat.

DAY 7 - A day of adventure as we head north through the desert and along the beach. Visit Nakhl fort with its six round-towers emergi ng from a huge palm grove at the foot of Jebel Nakhl, 1600 M high. Continue to Rustaq fort with its maze of passages, staircases, and rooms at multi-levels. See the water bubbling from Rustaq hot springs and proceed to Al Hazm. We stop along the way at Nakhl and Rustaq with lunch at the Sohar Beach hotel before crossing the border for overnight at Al Ain, Dubai.

DAY 8 - Explore Al Ain and continue to Abu Dhabi for a city tour. The day ends with a dinner dhow cruise and music viewing downtown Dubai .

DAY 9 - Enjoy a city tour of the Emirates of Dubai and Sharjah. In the afternoon, jump into 4-wheel drive vehicles for a desert safari and visit to the Nature Preserve, ending with a sunset barbecue in the desert. Overnight in Dubai.

DAY 10 -Day free for swimming last minute shopping, - transfer to airport for Gulf Air flight to London and home
