12 Day Israel Jordan Adventure

Day 1 - After entering Israel, drive along the Dead Sea to Qumran where the Dead Sea Scrolls were found. Continue to Jerusalem for overnight.

Day 2 - In the morning drive to Mt. Scopus and the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view over the city. Continue to the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations. Enter the Old City and visit the Jewish Quarter, Dome of the Rock, Western Wall, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, and Christian Quarter. Overnight in Jerusalem

Day 3 - Drive to Bethlehem and visit the Church of the Nativity and Rachel’s Tomb. Drive to the New City of Jerusalem and via the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament to Yad Vashem (the Holocaust Museum), and Model of Jerusalem in the time of the 2nd temple and the Israel museum housing the Dead Sea Scrolls. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 4 - Drive via the Judean hills to Jericho, considered to be the oldest city in the world. Visit the ancient Tel and drive via the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean. Visit the Roman amphitheater and ruins. Continue to Tiberias for overnight.

Day 5 - Drive north through the Upper Galilee mountains to the Golan Heights, visit the Banias (Caesarea Philippi). Afterwards, drive to the “Good Fence” and continue to Zfat and visit the old synagogue and the Artists Quarter. Return to Tiberias for overnight.

Day 6 - Start the day with a boat ride over the Sea of Galilee. Visit Capernaum, Tabgha and Mt. of Beatitudes. Afterward, drive to Nazareth and visit the Church of the Annunciation. Continue via the coastal road and Caesarea to the Allenby Bridge where we cross into Jordan to meet our guide and drive to Amman for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 - This morning we take a morning city tour to the Amphitheater, and Citadel. Afternoon at leisure. Dinner and overnight in Amman.

Day 8 - We head to the Crusader Castle at Ajlun and then to Jerash, the Roman Decapolis. Visit the Desert Castles and return for dinner and overnight in Amman.

Day 9 - After breakfast, drive to Petra for full day of exploring this mysterious ancient city of the Nabateans. Dinner and overnight in Petra.

Day 10/11 - Leaving Petra, we go to Eilaat, an Israeli beach resort, for two days of fun in the sun. Dinner and overnight.

Day 12 - Depart Eilaat for Tel Aviv and your onward journey.
