9 Day Journey Through Jordan

9 days / 8 nights

Jordan Tour Prices

Day One: You will be met and assisted at the Queen Alia Airport and then taken to your hotel for overnight.
Day Two: After breakfast, travel to the preserved Roman city of Jerash. Here you can see the Elliptical Forum, the Street of Columns, and the Temple of Artemis. Next, depart for an afternoon of exploration of the famous desert castles. A memorial to the early days of Islamic-Arab civilization, these historic ruins, including castles, forts, towers, baths, and caravan stations, are widely considered the most spectacular and original monuments of early Islamic dynastic secular art. Return to Amman for overnight.
Day Three: After breakfast, travel to the intriguing city of Madaba and observe the famous, geographically accurate, mosaic of Palestine. Next, travel to Mt. Nebo from where Moses viewed the Promised Land, and experience the spectacular panorama of the Jordan Valley, Jericho and the Judean Hills. From here you can also see the remains of a Byzantine church with its impressive mosaic floors. Finish the day perfectly with a relaxing float in the Dead Sea and overnight here.
Day Four: After breakfast, enjoy one last glimpse of the sparkling sea and move on to the Main Spa. In the afternoon visit Wadi AlMujeb and then the crusader castle in Kerak. Continue on to Dana for overnight.
Day Five: After breakfast, visit the amazing cliff-side village of Dana. In this magnificent setting you can find old Ottoman houses restored in traditional style. Next, continue to Beid a, one of the oldest excavated Neolithic villages before returning to Petra for overnight.
Day Six: Spend this entire day exploring the incredible city of Petra. Sometimes called the "Rose Red City," Petra was inhabited by the ancient Nabateans, but lay concealed from 100 AD until it was re-discovered by a Dutch explorer in 1871. Take a horse ride to the "Siq" (Canyon) into the valley to see the Treasury, carved in pink stone, and continue past the Roman Theatre, the Corinthian Tomb and the Palace Tomb. Overnight in Petra.
Day Seven: After breakfast, set off in a 4 x 4 jeep to explore the Wadi Rum! Made famous by both the film and the legend of Lawrence of Arabia, the Wadi Rum is one of Nature's Wonderlands. Behold the towering limestone and granite cliffs that make up this unusual pastel-pink desert terrain. Camp under the stars in Wadi Rum.
Day Eight: After breakfast, depart for Aqaba, Jordan's only seaport. Aqaba's long history of occupation has turned this location into a bustling port city with a fine climate and lovely beaches. Overnight in Aqaba.
Day Nine: Depart from Aqaba.
