Gulets: Yachting in Turkey

 

Imagine spending a week sailing the turquois waters of the eastern Mediterranean Sea in a fully staffed sailing yacht. These ships are known in Turkey as gulets and typically accommodate 10 - 15 people for liesurely cruises along the winding coastline of southern Turkey. The waters are warm, the sites are extraordinary, and the experience can't be beat. To book your cruise, call us and let us know how many are in your party and when you want to travel. In each yacht: VHF, tape recorder, wind surf or canoe, boat, fishing equipment, masks, snorkels, flippers are available. All safety equipment is on board including life preservers and dinghy with motor.

In each cabin: Shower and WC, a small wardrobe, window and French bed, 1 towel for face, 1 towel for bath, blanket and sheets for two people are available.

Notes: Transfers are provided up to the gate of the harbor, then the clients will walk between 50 to 100 meters to where the ship is moored. There is a bar on every yacht, and soft and alcoholic drinks can be obtained there. Price list of the drinks is on the bar and payment for the drinks made to the captain. There are 3 or 4 crewmembers working onboard depending on the capacity of the yachts.


Routes:

MARMARIS - FETHIYE - MARMARIS
Departs Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday

Day01 Transfer to Marmaris and board your yacht. Meet your crew and traveling companions. If you have time, look around the town then spend the night onboard.

Day02 Straight into action with a cruise to Ekincik and an optional excursion to the ancient city of Caunos.

Day03 We continue our cruise to Fethiye and spend the night in Tersane Bay.

Day04 Sailing along the fabulous coastline we continue to G^cek and the bay of Fethiye, the ancient Telmessos. Here you can visit the stone graves of Fethiye with an optional excursion to the stone valley of Saklikent.

Day05 On our journey back to Marmaris we sail to Bedri Rahmi Bay and overnight at Domuz Island.

Day06 After breakfast we sail to the Baba Island and to the bay of Sarigerme.

Day07 Today we sail to Kadirga Bay and in the afternoon arrive back in Marmaris harbor for a final night of shopping and entertainment in town.

Day08 Disembark the yacht after breakfast.


BODRUM - GOKOVA - BODRUM
Departs Friday, Saturday, Sunday

Day01 Check in and get settled in your cabin after 15:30. Dinner and overnight in the harbor at Bodrum.

Day02 During breakfast the captain obtains permission to leave the harbor from the harbor master. After breakfast meet the captain and staff of the yacht and go over the route map with them before setting sail to Alakisla Bay. You will have an opportunity to visit the ruins of a Byzantine village. Dinner and overnight is in Cokertme.

Day03 Continue on, sailing to Tuzla before breakfast, lunch and swimming break at Tuzla Bay, dinner and overnight is in English Harbor.

Day04 Sail to Sedir Island after breakfast. There you will find an ancient city called Kedrai. Theatre, church, ruins of a necropolis can be seen on the Island. The beach is called Cleopatra's Beach and the sand is very special. Antonius brought the sand by ships from North Africa. This sand can only be found in Tunisia nowadays. Dinner and overnight is in Karacasogut where the village is surrounded by pine trees. A trip to Marmaris can be arranged which takes 20 minutes to get there.

Day05 Visit Ballisu Bay after breakfast. Dinner and overnight is in Longoz. The clients might take for a walk through the forest in the night.

Day06 Sailing to Kargili Bay before breakfast. Orak Island is after lunch. Dinner and overnight is there.

Day07 Sailing to Pabuc after breakfast. Haremten bay is after lunch and swimming break. After having tea and coffee it is time to sail into the harbor of Bodrum and overnight is in the harbor.

Day08 Disembarkation after breakfast at 10:30

The captain may change the route depending on weather conditions.

Prices are per person sharing a double cabin, including all meals.

Please note: Triple rooms not available. There is no child reduction. All beds in each cabin are French beds
