You will be met upon arrival at Dubai Airport and assisted with Immigration formalities, then transferred to the Media Rotana Hotel for check-in. Overnight stay at the Media Rotana (or similar).
Early Breakfast at hotel, then at 9:00am meet with your local tour guide for a short orientation, then depart on a Dubai City Tour, a fascinating historical excursion. Our route takes us to the magnificent Jumeirah mosque; past modern palaces sprawled along the coast. In Bastakia we stop for a while to admire the old wind-tower houses built by wealthy merchants. Close by, stands the 150-year old Al Fahidi Fort. Here, the Dubai Museum records the city’s past as an important pearl diving and trading centre. We continue our journey by Abra – local water taxi. As we cross the Creek we see the modern metropolis with its splendid architecture dwarfing the bustling alleys of our next destination, the gold and spice souks. (Lunch on your own arrangements). Return to your hotel and the rest of the afternoon is at you leisure. Overnight stay at the Media Rotana (or similar).
After Breakfast, check-out depart on a Tour of Sharjah. We start at the Sheikh Mohammed bin Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qassimi Mosque and walk along the Corniche, watching the people working on the Dhows, on- and offloading goods being transported in the very traditional way. In the direct neighborhood you find a lot of little shops selling all kind of goods for the more modern day to day life. While strolling along, you might even find something you would like to take home. A little further down the street we come across the old Souq. Beautiful little stores, selling the very traditional bits and pieces, traditional clothing for Him and Her, the Kandoura, Agal, Gutrah and Kaffia or the Abaya, Sheila and Sirwal. Take your time and even stroll through little alleyways to get a feeling for it all.
Continue your walk towards Al Hisn Fort, home of the former ruler of Sharjah, where a very interesting movie is shown about the history of Sharjah as well as the very first Airport in the UAE. Following a short stroll through Al Arsah Souk we visit the Blue Souq, where more than 600 shops sell carpets, gold, silver, antiques, perfumes, clothes and many other temptations. From the souq we have a view of the King Faisal mosque next to the Ittihad monument. (Lunch on your own arrangements) Then we drive along the northern coast through cities Ajman & Um Al Quwain to Ras Al Khaimah and check-in to our hotel. Overnight stay at Ras al Khaimah Hotel (or similar).
After breakfast, checkout and transfer in 4WD vehicles for a mountain safari which includes a packed picnic lunch. En route we visit the oldest mosque in the UAE at Bidiya. All baggage will be transferred separately to the hotel. Overnight stay at Fujeirah Rotana (or similar).
After breakfast, checkout and (we are back to using the coach) proceed to Al Ain, a charming desert oasis that has been a stop on the caravan train since time immemorial. In Fujairah we stop to see the deserted village with the old fort on the hill and proceed to the oasis in Bithnah. It is now time to continue to the Friday Market in Masafi, where we see a display of house plants, carpets and fruit and vegetables, before proceeding to Al Ain. In Al Ain we first stop at the archaeological digs at Hili which date back some 5,000 years, before proceeding to Al Ain’s museum next to the old fortress, and then walk through the oasis located nearby which highlights the traditional irrigation system. We then visit the ancient Camel Market and then check-in to hotel. Overnight stay at Mercure Grand Jebel Hafeet (or similar).
After breakfast we checkout and visit the Al Ain Palace Museum and then proceed to Abu Dhabi, the capital of United Arab Emirates. In this city of dramatic contrasts, we visit the ancient, but now renovated Al Husn Fort, the Abu Dhabi Corniche with its fascinating fountains. Next we visit the Heritage village on the breakwater, from where we get a spectacular skyline view of the city of Abu Dhabi. Overnight stay at Beach Rotana Abu Dhabi (or similar).
After breakfast we checkout, and visit the Abu Dhabi Fish Market before proceeding to Dubai. We drive past the world’s largest man made port at Jebel Ali, and check-in to the our hotel in Dubai around lunchtime. In the afternoon, proceed on the classic Dune Dinner Safari with a thrilling ride through the dunes. We take a break to photograph the camel camps and enjoy the scenery at sunset. Arrive at our camp and settle down to a succulent barbecue of assorted meats, baked potatoes, salads and fresh fruit before returning to the hotel. Overnight stay at the Media Rotana (or similar).
Mid-day checkout and transfer to extension hotel or Dubai Airport for the departure flight.
