Cairo’s Islamic and Royal Legacy

Dive into Cairo’s rich Islamic history with visits to the Citadel of Salah El-Din and the exquisite Mosque of Muhammad Ali, known for its stunning alabaster walls and skyline views. Mediterranean Majesty: Cairo to Alexandria

Say goodbye to Cairo as you drive north to Alexandria, Egypt’s elegant port city. Explore the ancient Roman Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa and the towering Pompey’s Pillar. After breakfast, return to Cairo and head straight to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC), home to the royal mummies of Egypt’s greatest pharaohs. Feel the awe of standing before Ramses II himself. NMEC aims to bring the rich tapestry of tangible and intangible Egyptian heritage to life within a vibrant cultural, artistic, and scientific context, fostering meaningful connections for all its visitors. Following lunch, check into the InterContinental City Stars for a relaxing evening. Flight to Luxor & Embark on Your Nile Cruise

Fly to Luxor, the ancient city of Thebes. Upon arrival, board your deluxe Nile cruise ship and enjoy lunch onboard. This afternoon, tour the vast Temple of Karnak — a spiritual center for over 2,000 years — and the graceful Luxor Temple. Return to your ship for dinner as the sun sets on the Nile. (B/L/D)

Tombs of Kings & Sailing to Esna

Explore the Valley of the Kings, where you'll descend into the tombs of legendary pharaohs including Ramses and Tutankhamun. Visit Queen Hatshepsut’s majestic temple carved into the cliffs, and the towering Colossi of Memnon. After lunch onboard, cruise south through the Esna Lock. (B/L/D)

Temples of Horus & Sobek

Dock in Edfu and ride a carriage to the grand Temple of Horus, the most complete temple in Egypt. Sail to Kom Ombo and visit its rare double temple dedicated to the falcon god Horus and crocodile god Sobek — complete with a small museum of real mummified crocodiles. (B/L/D)

Aswan: Jewel of the Nile
