Arrival in Cairo
Welcome to Egypt! On arrival to Cairo International Airport, our partner will meet and assist you inside the airport and transfer you to your 5 star hotel in Cairo: the Ramses Hilton, Kempinski Nile, or Cairo Sheraton or similar. Overnight in Cairo.
Pyramids of Giza & Sakkara
Breakfast at the hotel then we start a full day of sightseeing. We start with the Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx, then we will have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon we will visit Sakkara, where the most ancient manmade pyramid is, the pyramid of King Zoser. Return back to your hotel, dinner is on your own. You can try the hotel restaurant or ask your guide or the hotel concierge for recommendations of restaurants you might like to try. Overnight in Cairo. B/L
Old Cairo, Mosque of Mohamed Ali & the Egyptian Museum
Breakfast at the hotel then we start our day with a visit to the citadel of Salah Eddine overlooking the Old City and the mosque of Mohamed Ali. After our visit we will head to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities or the new Grand Egyptian Museum if it is open. Lunch will be in a local restaurant. After our sightseeing, we return to your hotel where the rest of the afternoon is free, dinner is on your own. Overnight in Cairo. B/L
Cairo - Aswan
Breakfast at the hotel, check out and drive to the airport to fly to Aswan (1hour 20 minutes flight). Arrive in Aswan and go straight to visit the Philae temple dedicated to Isis, Goddess of love and magic. Transfer to your cruise ship and check in. Enjoy lunch on board and time to have a rest. In the afternoon we will enjoy a peaceful ride on the Nile in a Felucca, a typical sailboat seen on the Nile. Back to the ship, dinner and overnight in Aswan. B/L/D
NOTE: Optional trip to Abu Simbel is available. Fly to Abu Simbel, tour the temple and then fly back to Aswan and continue with your sightseeing. Please call for details and price.
Aswan - Kom Ombo - Edfu - Esna - Luxor
Breakfast on board the ship as we sail to Kom Ombo temple dedicated to Sobek the crocodile headed god. After our visit we return back to the ship for lunch as we sail on to Edfu where we will visit the temple of Edfu, dedicated to Horus the falcon God. Back to the ship and sail on to Esna to pass through the lock and continue to Luxor. Overnight on board in Luxor. B/L/D
Breakfast on board then depart for our visits to the Valley of the Kings which will include entrance to 3 tombs. Next we visit the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. Return to the ship for lunch and a rest or just enjoy some free time. Just before then sun sets we will visit Luxor temple under the stars. Return to the ship for dinner and over night on board in Luxor. B/L/D
Luxor - Cairo
Breakfast on board the ship, then check out and go to visit the temple of Karnak. Afterwards we will transfer to the airport for our flight back to Cairo. On arrival in Cairo, transfer to your hotel and the rest of the day is free. B
Transfer to the airport for your flight home. Depending on flight time, breakfast may be available.
