Welcome to Cairo

Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our local representative who will assist you through immigration and baggage collection. Then, board your private air-conditioned vehicle and transfer to your hotel — the luxurious Sofitel Cairo El Gezirah, where every room offers sweeping views of the Nile. After check-in, enjoy time to rest or take a stroll along the Corniche. Overnight in Cairo.

Wonders of Ancient Egypt

After breakfast at the hotel, meet your expert Egyptologist guide and begin your journey through time with a visit to the majestic Giza Plateau. Marvel at the last remaining Wonder of the Ancient World — the Great Pyramid of Khufu — and explore the pyramids of Khafre and Menkaure. Stand in awe before the enigmatic Sphinx, guarding the secrets of the desert for millennia. After lunch at a local restaurant, continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum near the pyramids. Here, you’ll discover priceless artifacts, including the treasures of King Tutankhamun and monuments spanning Egypt’s dynastic past. Return to the hotel for an evening at leisure. (B/L)

Fly to Luxor – Gateway to the Nile

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Cairo Airport for a short flight to Luxor — ancient Thebes and the world’s greatest open-air museum. Upon arrival, you’ll be met and transferred to your deluxe Nile cruise ship. Enjoy lunch on board before meeting your Egyptologist for a guided tour of Karnak Temple — a vast complex of sanctuaries, pylons, and obelisks built over more than 2,000 years. Then continue to Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and later expanded by Ramses II. Return to the ship for dinner and an overnight stay in Luxor. (B/L/D)

West Bank of Luxor and Sail to Esna

Enjoy breakfast on board before heading to Luxor’s West Bank, home to the legendary Valley of the Kings. Venture into the richly decorated tombs of pharaohs, where vivid hieroglyphs still adorn the walls. Visit the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an architectural marvel built into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, and stop to admire the towering Colossi of Memnon. After returning to the ship for lunch, set sail toward Esna, passing through the fascinating locks along the Nile. Dinner and overnight on board. (B/L/D)

Temples of Edfu and Kom Ombo

After breakfast, disembark in Edfu to visit one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples — the Temple of Horus. Dedicated to the falcon-headed god of protection, the temple’s massive columns and intricate carvings offer a glimpse into ancient ritual and power. Sail onward to Kom Ombo and visit its unique twin temple, shared by two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. See the Crocodile Mummy Museum before returning to the ship. Aswan – Serenity and Spirituality

Begin the day with a visit to the Aswan High Dam, a modern engineering feat that changed the face of the Nile Valley. Then take a short boat ride to Philae Temple, beautifully situated on an island in the Nile and dedicated to the goddess Isis, the protector of love and healing. After lunch on board, enjoy a peaceful felucca sail around the Nubian islands and Aswan’s botanical gardens. Return to the ship for dinner and your final overnight onboard. (B/L/D)

Return to Cairo

Enjoy breakfast and check out of the cruise ship. You may choose to take an optional excursion to the awe-inspiring temples of Abu Simbel — colossal monuments to Ramses II, carved into rock and relocated to avoid flooding. Later, transfer to the airport for your flight back to Cairo. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel near the airport. The evening is yours to relax or prepare for your departure. Overnight in Cairo. (B)

Farewell Egypt

After breakfast, check out and transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight home, taking with you unforgettable memories of the land of the pharaohs. (B)
