What a fabulous trip you planned. We had such a wonderful time and appreciated everything to the absolute fullest. It's hard to pinpoint trip highlights because each day presented new highlights and wonderful sights. If pressed I'd name Karnak, Dendara, Petra (especially at night), the Oberoi and the Old Cataract Hotel. (what a gem that is!) And I'd have to single out our wonderful Sarwat who took such amazing care of us. The trip gave us some long and wonderful days, as well as down time when we needed it...so the timing was pretty perfect. And clearly, there were no issues of security or feeling the Ugly American--on the contrary, the people were wonderful and welcoming. So, thank you for your planning and then for convincing us to go! I would have been so very sorry to have missed this trip. Did you know that we did some wonderful add-ons? We took the mule ride up to the top of Petra and then a sunset camel ride in Wadi Run. While I was pretty sore after all that, we loved both. And Sarwat took us to the sound and light at Karnak which was, of course, beyond spectacular! We tried two mornings to do the hot air ballon ride in the Valley of Kings, but were derailed by heavy winds. Being up that early gave us an extra Call to Prayer, which was very special sitting on the boat in the dark!

I apologize that my response has been so delayed. Thank you so much for all you did to make this one of my most favorite trips! You have a great eye for detail and really pay close attention to your travelers! I really appreciated being met in the airport, swooped through immigration, and taken to the driver. I could have managed, but after a long trip, and late at night, it helped the trip begin on a bright note. All of the people you hired were professional and efficient. The food was wonderful! I enjoyed eating local, and experiencing typical food. The salads were delightful, and the lemon drinks really hit the spot! I will always remember eating lunch while looking out at the Sphinx, and the rice shaped as a pyramid. The program and tour covered all of the highlights I was hoping to see. As much as I enjoyed Alexandria, I think I might have preferred a bit of time in the Cataract Hotel (maybe tea time?) The rest of the trip was perfect. I am awed at how much we covered in a short time! And I enjoyed all of Yasser's history talks and facts. As much as I read, I could have never gained as much information as he gave out. And his jokes were a hoot! My friends and family have enjoyed the stories, pictures, and souvenirs I brought back...especially the grand kids! The trip down the Nile on the ship was like being a movie. But for all of this, the best part was the group-what a lovely bunch to be with 24/7. Again, thank you for the Grand Adventure! I wish you a wonderful holiday season and hope to see you again in the future! All my best, Laura S.
