Continue to Meknes, known as the “Moroccan Versailles,” and nearby Roman ruins of Volubilis, showcasing the region’s deep historical roots.
In Fes, Morocco’s oldest imperial city and spiritual center, wander through the UNESCO-listed medieval medina, filled with bustling souks, historic madrasas, and artisan workshops that preserve centuries-old traditions. Arrival in Casablanca
Arrive at Casablanca's Mohamed V Airport (CMN) where you will be met and assisted and transfer to your hotel to check in. Dinner and overnight. (D)
Casablanca - Rabat
After breakfast, check out and depart for sightseeing in Casablanca, the business capital of Morocco. Visit the exterior of the great Hassan II Mosque, Mohamed V square, the United Nations Place, the central market, the Habbous Quarter and the residential area of Anfa before strolling along the Ain Diab corniche meandering along the Atlantic Coast, bordered with swimming pools and restaurants. After an independent lunch depart for Rabat, the “Imperial Garden City” and also the administrative capitol of the kingdom. Our sightseeing tour includes the Hassan Tower, Kasbah of the Oudayas, the splendid Mohamed V Mausoleum, and the Medina. Late in the afternoon check in to your hotel for dinner and overnight. (B/D)
Rabat - Meknes - Fez
After breakfast, depart Rabat for Fez. Along the way stop to visit the Roman site of Volubilis, then continue on to Meknes, the “Moroccan Versailles,” founded at the end of the 17th century by Moulay Ismail, a contemporary of France’s Louis XIV. Independent lunch. Our exploration of this area includes the Bab El Mansour, considered to be the finest gateway in Morocco and the old Medina. Continue to Fez for dinner and overnight. (B/D)
Fez
Today the entire day is devoted to exploring Fez, the oldest of the Imperial Cities, the most ancient cultural and spiritual city of Morocco. Visit the medieval medina, the Medersas, the Karaouine Mosque and the famous Nejjarine fountain. After an independent lunch continue the visit through the old medina where you will see different craftsmen still operating in the old oriental tradition. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight in Fez. (B/D)
Fez - Beni-Mellal - Marrakesh
Leave Fez for a scenic journey through the middle Atlas Mountains passing through Immouzer du Kander and Ifrane, a charming ski resort in the heart of a magnificent cedar forest. Independent lunch will be along the way, in Beni Mellal. Continue to Marrakesh, gradually the red earth will appear in contrast with the deep blue skies, the green palm trees, and the snow-capped mountains. Arrive in Marrakesh and check in to your hotel for dinner and overnight. (B/D)
Marrakesh
Today spend the entire day exploring Marrakesh, the second oldest imperial city, known as the Pearl of the South. Visit the Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace, and the Menara Gardens. Return to the hotel for lunch. In the afternoon visit the souks, the winding littles streets of the Djemaa el Fna place with its various and non-stop entertainment: story tellers, snake charmers, fire-eaters and more. Overnight at the hotel in Marrakesh. (B/L)
Optional: A Diffa Fantasia dinner. Sit under big caidal tents, enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal, and watch music and dance performances representing different regions of Morocco. At the end of dinner, a show will produce a camel caravan with a belly dancer, a fantasia, and a show of horse riding. $60 per person
Marrakesh - Casablanca
After breakfast, enjoy the morning is at your leisure. Lunch is on your own and in the afternoon depart for Casablanca. Arrive at the hotel and check in. Dinner and overnight. (B/D)
